Movement lineage review
A structured trace of selected SKUs from goods receipt through bin, transfer, and issue, so the quantity on hand can be explained from the application’s own trail.
Inventory applications fail quietly when a receipt is split across locations, a transfer is posted late, or an issue is reversed without a matching physical return. This review reconstructs the path of agreed SKU families so operations and finance can see, in writing, how on-hand was formed.
We agree materiality and a list of items or locations at scoping. For each selected movement we obtain the source document or scan, the application posting, any interface to the financial inventory account, and the bin the system claims. Breaks are dated to the period they first appear.
The deliverable is a lineage pack your team can reuse at the next close, plus a log of unexplained quantity. It is not a data-migration project and it is not warehouse redesign.
